This Sunday we need to collect badges from the clubbers that will be receiving awards the following week, February 26th.
Also, there will be a sign up sheet for the Talent Show coming up on March 11. Please sign up by March 4 if you would like to participate.
We missed seeing a lot of you last Sunday :(   There seem to be a lot of bugs running around so we hope that if you were sick, you are doing better and are able to make it to Awana this Sunday!

    Today our Middle Schoolers won their quizzing multiple choice and 20 min. speed round and came home with gold medals and a plaque for the church.

     

    The high schoolers won first place (same awards) and did extremely well.

     

    There was very stiff competition.

     

    We are proud of all of the Bible verses and other information they learned.

     

    We got home safely home tonight. Thank you for your prayers!!

     

    The high school team will go on to the National Championship Quiz Meet in Chicago in March. Please keep praying for them.

    Here’s the February happenings at OBF Awana Club…
    First of all, two teams of T&T’rs went to Bible Quizzing in Port Orchard today.  They both got 2nd place!  Congratulations to Tyanne, Christian, Gabriel, Anthony, Adrian, Kaitlyn, Jacob & Cole!
    • February 5 – NO AWANA (because of Super bowl Sunday)
    • February 10 – Youth Group at the Hays, 394 Kirner Road, 7:00-8:30.
    • February 12 – “Bring Your Parent Night”/”Furry & Fuzzy Night”  Parents are welcome to be a part of club for the night & see all the fun your kids are having.  Hopefully all you clubbers come with lots of sections to say since you have had 3 weeks to work on your handbook J  Just a reminder  that on May 12th we will be going to Chuck E.     o Awana Store will be open from 5:45-6:00.

    · 11 Talent Show Night – Do you have a talent you would like to share? Playing a musical instrument, singing, dancing, gymnastics, art, recitation, a skit… We would love to have you participate. Please let us know by March 4th.

    o Daylight Savings Begins – Set your clocks 1 hour forward

    • Award recognition of Awana Clubbers.
    • Tonight at 5:45 is the Awana Grand Prix.  It will be held at the Community School Gym.  Come vote for your favorite car design and cheer on the contestants as their cars race down the track!  We will also be having the December/January award recognition tonight for those who weren’t here this morning.
    •  This Tuesday, Jan. 31st, at 7:00 p.m. Laura Story is in concert at the IBC Worship Center. You can visit her website at: www.laurastorymusic.com.  Tickets, $15 per person, are available at the IBC Administration Center in downtown Port Angeles, at the Good Book store in Sequim or on-line at: www.indbible.org. This will be open seating though with limited attendance!
